Summary: Samba, NFS or what?

Hi there,
sorry for the delay (holidays in Germany).

Anyway, the majority of responses recommended Samba. There are a some
NFS-packages mentioned: Lan Work Group NFS, Chamelion NFS, xnfs.
They all cost $$$. Samba is free.

Samba requires WFW, Win95 or NT. For our particular system, that means
I will have to upgrade to WFW in order to use Samba.

Thanks to all who responded:
