I'm looking for a CD recorder that will run under Digital Unix 3.0/3.2.
I currently have a Pinnacle RCD-1000 drive that works with a PC or Mac. I
wanted to connect this
Pinnacle drive to a DEC 3000/300LX machine. I am also using "GEAR" software
from Elektroson.
When I do a "show device" at the boot prompt (>>>), the Pinnacle drive
(RCD-1000) is listed as follows:

Pinnacle points me to Elektroson!
Elektroson points me to Pinnacle!
DEC tells me that I will never get the Pinnacle drive to work as long as the
device shows up
several times.
I have tried the following:
firmware updates to the Pinnacle drive
sending the drive back to Pinnacle
shorter SCSI cables
slowing the bus speed
active termination vs. passive termination
latest version of "GEAR" from Elektroson
Any suggestions?
