Beginner's training resources

Hi all,

We've just ordered an Alpha 2100A 5/250 which will run the "latest" version
(4.0??) of Digital Unix. We also intend on installing the "latest" version
of ORACLE on this box as a basis for Data Warehousing. The Alpha will have
256MB Ram and 20 G of disk space in total. (I would like to use RAID where
appropriate!!)

This is my second voyage into the UNIX world (I had a very brief encounter
with SCO on a 486 box a few years ago.) It is also my second voyage into
DBMS installs (I have basic experience with MS SQL Server and my previous
job experience is as a mainframe programmer using a 4GL and CA IDEAL (4GL)
to access CA's DATACOM DB)

Enough background. My question is: Are there any good books, tutorials,
and other training resources that you would recommend that I should pursue.
No one else here is UNIX aware so there is no local knowledge that I can
draw on.

Note: I do have a strong background in LANs, PC's, DOS, Windows, and NT.

Any comments and suggestions will be very appreciated!!!

Thanks....

Joel
