Hello again Managers !!
We're running the Qualcomm POP3 mail server, version 2.1.4-R3.
We've also got DU version 3.2C.
In our mail logs, we get records of transactions that look
similar to the following:
popper[2870]: Servicing request from "machine" at 129.228.2.4
popper[2870]: Stats: weenie 2 1701 6 22259
popper[2870]: Ending request from "weenie" at (machine) 129.228.2.4
On the line containing "Stats" there's the user id (weenie) and
then four number to the right of that. I believe the first
number to be the number of messages received and the second
number to be the byte count of all of the messages received.
In this example, weenie picked up two messages totaling 1701 bytes.
Anyone know what the last two numbers are ? They also look
like 6 messages totaling 22259 bytes. But I can't send mail
with my POP mail client and reproduce entries in the last two
fields.
Does anyone know where I can find documentation on what goes
into the syslog/mail.log for a POP mail server ??
