Thanks to all who responded. The consensus seems to be
that running netsetup may be better than changing the files by
hand, but if I want to modify files, these are the ones
that will need it
/etc/hosts
/etc/rc.config
/etc/routes
/etc/networks
/etc/resolv.conf
I haven't tried this yet, but will try it shortly and will let
you know if all the changes work.
