Hi Managers,
I sent this message earlier and got no replies, assuming it was not received I am sending it again.
Something strange happen this week. One of my users accessing our core application keep getting kick off the system. I suspected a cabling problem an correct accordingly. However today while do some house keeping I found the user was still logon for 36 hours. Enough, BLAB the user show up via 'who' and 'w' logon to tty0i via LAT, but the process for tty0i was not listed via 'ps ax' and no getty process for tty0i exist. I eventually shutdown the system to clear this error. Has anyone experience this before and know a solution to remove the error with out rebooting the system.
We have a DEC 3000 Model 600 running DU3.2 with LAT and TELNET for terminal login.
Thanks
AARON
p.s. Are any of you guys running Progress databases and sorry I cannot check the archives for the above, my link is way to slow.
