SWAPPING/DU 4.0?

Hello,

The problem:

Running a program with 430-470 MBytes on our DEC Alpha 600 (333 MHz)
w/ 512 MB memory (DU V3.2C) results in problems with the swap
management(1.4 GBytes swap space). That means if another user loggs in
the whole system will swap for about 10 minutes (at least) not
allowing ANY processes during that time.

Question:

Is it worth upgrading to DU 4.0 or is bad swap management still point
of issue w/ DU 4.0?

Thanks for any replys.

Cheers,

Holger
