restoring AdvFS partition

Dear Wonderful, helpful, DU managers,

I have an advFS partition called local_dmn#local_fs on
/dev/rz3h, which is my /usr/local directory. I did a full install
going from DU 3.0 to 3.2C. I thought I'd be able to easily remount
the partition since it was untouched during the install, but after
reading the man pages on advFS I feel like I've lost the data!

I don't think I want to use mkfset and mkfdmn since don't those commands
overwrite the partition? How do I recover the partition to its
original state?

thanks!
Chester Liu
