Hi
A few weeks ago i had a little problem regarding "task table is full".
At that time nothing but low performance was perceived. Now, we have
added a new CPU to our AlphaServer 2100 4/275 (same model as the other
CPU). After the installation of the new module, sometimes at boot time
we got the following messages:
.
.
.
SuperLAT. Copyright 1993 Meridian Technology........
ADVFS: using 2323 biffers containing 18.14 megabytes of memory
Starting secondary cpu 1
<3> task table is full

syncing disks... 1 done
device string for dump = SCSI 0 1 0 0 0 0 0
device string for dump = SCSI 0 1 0 0 0 0 0

.
Sometimes, after a random time, the machine simply rebooted, and no dump
was generated. Now we are in the process of changing the kernel
parameters to avoid the "task table is full" messages. Are we in the
right way ? Any previous experience with this ?
TIA
