Has DEC changed the geometry of their rz29b 4.3G drives?
I just installed three brand-new DEC rz29b drives in our AlphaServer 1000
(DUnix 3.0b). I did the MAKEDEV for each, then wrote default labels via
disklabel -rw rz1 rz29b
Disklabel reports that the c partition extends 27120 sectors past the end
of the device. /etc/disktab specifies the full disk size as 8407200; what
we get is a truncated partition of 8380080 sectors. Adding the -t ufs
and -n options to disklabel makes no difference.
Is disktab out of date or maybe just wrong for these disks?
