URGENT HELP NEEDED: Can vi edit a multi megabyte text file ?

I need to have one of my (inexperimented) users search in a file which is 76
Mb long. He can use basic vi commands. I don't want to teach him a bunch of
commands. Can vi edit such a file ? If not, what tool could I use in order
for him to look at the file contents and search through it (no editing needed)
