Digital Printservers and DU

I apologize if this is a FAQ...

I have LPS20s and LPS17/600s which are booted from a VMS system. The printers
are accessed from VMS, Macintosh, WindowsNT and Unix systems.

Up until yesterday I had provided Unix access to them through a DECsystem 500/240
running Ultrix 4.4. The system disk on that machine died and rather
than repair it I would like to move the print queues to an Alpha running
DU 3.2c or 4.0.

The problem I have encountered deals with the inability to use the lpr options
(i.e -K, -I or -N) on the Alpha systems (the way they worked on Ultrix). The
man pages for lpr indicate they are supported but they appear to be ignored.

Is there a way to get this functionality without forcing the users to use
the lpspr command or setting up individual queues for each option?

Is there a way to set up the printservers so that the lpr command works as
indicated by the man page?

I have version 5.1 of the Printserver software installed on machines running
DU 3.2c and 4.0.

TIA
