Hello!
I've got a DEC Alpha 3000/300Lx and am interested in upgrading the
memory for it. According to the folks I spoke with a DEC it costs about
$2000.00 to buy 32 meg of ram for the board. The owners guide for the
alpha states that the board takes SIMMS (with the chips on both sides of
the board) . My question is, can I just buy a certain brand of SIMMS
(much cheaper) or is there something special about the DEC ram that I need ?
Thanks. Responses will be summarized.
