My original question was:

>I have AlphaServer 2000 running DU 3.2 (OSF/1 3.2).
>I have problem with mirror version 2.8. Program stops and displays
>the following message:
>Unaligned access pid=32688 <mirror.pl> va=1400f050b pc=120065c28 ra=12001c058 type=ldl
>Unaligned access pid=32688 <mirror.pl> va=1400f04ff pc=120065ce8 ra=12001c058 type=ldq
>and log file contains this line:
>main:(eval 96):3 Caught a SIGSEGV shutting down at ./mirror line 3595
>Previous version (2.3) of mirror used to dump cores.
>I have perl version 5.001.
>Any ideas? Patch needed ???
