I am responsible for administering a system running Digital Unix 4.0 that
is on the "other" (insecure) side of a firewall. I can telnet through the
firewall to the system, but I cannot pass an X client through the
firewall.
Since this system is out on the Internet, I wanted to make it as secure as
possbile. So I loaded the C-2 packages and configured it with the
"Enhanced" security option.
My question is what command-line utility can I use to enable and disable
user accounts? When I was first setting this system up, I used the X
utility, dxaccounts, but that is no longer an option. And since the
enhanced security is using some sort of shadow password database, it's not
just a matter of putting bogus gunk in the password field of
/etc/password.
Any help/answers/suggestions/pointers would be greatly appreciated!
