Mounting a CD: avoiding VMS-style names

All,
I have a CD with a huge directory tree I need to mount. The problem? The
software (rightfully) expects to see a normal looking directory tree from
which to install, but the CDFS driver gives all the files
ALLUPPERCASENAMESWITH;0 version numbers.

Short of mounting the CD on a linux box and RCP'ing it (it is huge), what
can I do to get the normal style names?
Ry
