My question was:

Well, it seems I like to make things harder than they should be!
All that was required was to create the appropriate device
files, like so:
cd /dev
./MAKEDEV tzxx
where 'xx' is the appropriate SCSI ID. I admit, I should have tried
this first. Twenty lashes with a SCSI cable!
One person sent me a working Ultrix entry, which I did not try
out.
In response to the second half of my question, I did receive a few
entries for Exabyte drives, as well as information as to how to
get data from the HP drive itself. Thank you Eugene Chu!
A couple of people said that you can get the cam_data.c density information
from HP, perhaps even from their web page.
Many thanks for your replies:
