Hello again -
I'm experimenting with Digital's X.500 system font-ended by the
freeware package web500gw (which gives access via a WWW browser). It
has become apparent that there a few issues with respect to
attributes that will have to be addressed before we can provide a
"live" system hooked up to the world-wide directory structure, so I
would be very interested to hear the experiences of anyone running
Digital's X.500 in the world-wide context (i.e. not just internal to
your organisation).
In particular, DEC X.500 uses the attribute rfc822Mailbox, while
other servers appear to use the attribute mail - how do we best
address this apparent conflict?
Also there are two attributes that are not included in the DEC
schema, namely roomNumber and labeledURI, that I would like to be
able to include. Has anyone done the necessary schema modifications
for these?
Thanks for any advice.
Richard
