Hi all,

Having just installed DU 4 and the kernel support for DFS, I then
attempted to build a new kernel using doconfig. It fails with the
following:

*** WARNING ***
An error has occurred during system configuration. A partial listing
of the error log file (./errs) follows:

sh ../conf/newvers.sh ../conf/copyright `cat ../conf/version.type
../conf/ver sion.major ../conf/version.minor ../conf/version.variant
 ../conf/version.buil d ../conf/version.patch` "`cat ../conf/version.banner`"
cc -c -O2 -DLANGUAGE_C -g3 -G 4 -I -I.

-signed -Wg,-w2 -compress -no_excpt -Wg,-unroll,1 -Wb,-static -
Wco,-nofloat -Olimit 3000 -D__alpha -Umips -UMIPS -c vers.c
rm -f vmunix vmunix.sys
loading vmunix.sys
ld: Error: Undefined:
sts_to_errno_map

tagdir_lookup
tagdir_lookup_next
bf_get
*** Exit 1 (ignored)
chmod 755 a.out
chmod: a.out: No such file or directory
*** Exit 4

Obviously, the undefined symbols are the problem. DFS is the only
thing I am including. With a standard kernel, it builds ok.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Tony
