mirror perl script

I just downloaded the mirror distribution a few days ago,
and I'm having trouble. I'm not a perl programmer, but I
can usually hack through things well enough to fix
problems. This time I can't find it.

I've installed the scripts and created and configuration
file. When I try to mirror the site I get the following:

> package=SPCC_web {site-name}{remote-directory} ->
/mirrors/netscape_navigator/
> Scanning local directory /mirrors/netscape_navigator/
> Connecting to {site-name}
> Unaligned access pid=1287 <mirror.pl> va=1400f050b
pc=1200676e8 ra=12001c050 type ldl
> Unaligned access pid=1287 <mirror.pl> va=1400f04ff
pc=1200677a8 ra=12001c050 type=ldq
> main:(eval 97):3 Caught a SIGSEGV shutting down at
./mirror line 3595, <> line 15

(in the actual error listing the stuff in the {...} is
correct)

Any ideas what is causing this? I thought it might be my
socket.ph file, but it looks ok.

Any help would be appreciated.

TIA!!
