System V

I am using a DEC3000 running DU 3.2C. The alpha has been set up as a
Print Server for my network. Printing is done via LAT using the BSD
option. I am printing to a network printer set up on the Alpha, from a
System V client computer (i.e. I logged onto a Sun machine and I am
trying to print to the network printer on the Alpha). An error message
is displayed with the information that the lpsystem command must be
executed on the server.

The lpsystem command is part of the SystemV environment. I am trying to
avoid installing this layered product. is there a corresponding BSD
command that will perform the same function (i.e. register remote
systems with the print service) ?
