Hi,
a week ago or so I asked for advice on upgrading resp.
from OSF/1 1.3 to DU 4.0 resp. installing DU 4.0.
Although the installation was almost no problem, the
system doesn't work entirely yet. That's why I didn't
summarize yet. Maybe you can help me with the
remaining point:
To get the automount daemon RUNNING I had to give it
the option -f /etc/auto.master although from the
man page I understand that that is the default. Still
the automounting doesn't work and if I make e.g. an
ls to one of the directories I get (in verbose mode):
NFS2 server december not responding still trying
First of all I don't understand why it doesn't work and
the NFS2 makes me wonder as well ...
