Sendmail rejecting another subnet

Hi,
I'm trying to configuring an Alpha400 to replace a Linux server for
our main internet server. Almost everything went fine thanks to you all.
Now the only problem I have left is this sendmail thing. Here's how it
goes. Our service has two class C address ranges x.x.a.? and x.x.b.?,
I'll call them. Our server is in the x.x.a.? range and our dial-in
service is in the x.x.b.? range. Send mail allows access from the .a
range but when accessed from the .b rang reports:

533 Local configuration error, hostname not recognized as local.

I assume this can be fixed in the /usr/adm/sendmail/sendmail.cf file, but
how?

Please come through for me again,

P.S. You guys really are the pros.
