A week or so ago I asked about using the KZPSC 3 port raid
controller on an AlphaServer 400 with third party storage. Responses
indicated that Seagate 9GB disks are successfully being used, but
others prefer to play it safe and stay with Digital StorageWorks.

Also "Steven L. Jenkins" <sjenkins_at_iastate.edu> warns:
>... you cannot mix internal and external enclosures on the
>KZPSC, despite what your local DEC person may tell you ...

And Lucien_HERCAUD_at_paribas.com (Lucien HERCAUD) points out:
> Pay attention if not using RAID at all with the KZPSC. It only
>supports 8 JBOD devices ! Thus you'll only be able to add 8 disks to
>this controller and make them visible by the ALPHA system although
>you have 3*7 = 21 slots available on SCSI buses.
