Hi,

I sucessfully installed a new Seagate disk in that I can mount it, write to
it etc. as normal. I put the new device into the /etc/fstab and it mounts
on reboot also.

The strange thing is though that that the log for boot up does not show the
new disk at scsi 1, here is the log:

scsi0 at tcds0 slot 0
                                        rz2 at scsi0 bus 0 target 2 lun 0 (DEC
                                         _ RZ28 (C) DEC D41C)
                                        rz3 at scsi0 bus 0 target 3 lun 0 (DEC
                                         _ RZ25L (C) DEC 0007)
                                        rz4 at scsi0 bus 0 target 4 lun 0 (DEC
                                         _ RRD43 (C) DEC 1084)
                                        rz6 at scsi0 bus 0 target 6 lun 0 (DEC
                                         _ RX26 (C) DEC 0070)
                                        tz5 at scsi0 bus 0 target 5 lun 0 (DEC
                                         _ TLZ06 (C)DEC 491A)

There is no rz1 device listed!

The new disk is a Seagate Hawk 2 ST32151N.

Can anyone explain this?

Thanks

Stephen
