Ok, I'm trying to set it up so my VAX/VMS workstation using multinet
will be able to open a dxterm up on a du3.2c system.
I have the menu dxterm set as:
rshell hostname /user=myusername "/usr/bin/X11/dxterm -ls -d myworkstation:0.0 &"
with the appropriate values. On my Unix account I have an .rhosts
file with the
myworkstation username
in it ...
and the /etc/hosts.equiv has an entry...
I get a dxterm window to open up ... but at the same time I get logged in,
I get a fileview error window with: stty: tcgetattr: Permission denied
in it...
I've put echo's in my .profile and the /etc/profile ..the error window
does seem to pop up right after /etc/profile is run but that could just
be a coincidence...
now if I do this command directly on the unix box all is well, but
it seems via the rshell it has problems...
So does anyone know what file is missing what chmod or chown or chgrp
or ?
Is it something to do with the multinet 3.5b rshell program?
Thanks Pam
