SUMMARY: LSM on root filesystem? & New Q

Well, of course it works....
volencap & volrootmir are the tool, but require a bit knowledge to setup
& backup out. Jari Tavi sent me I nice ps-document (in finnish!) on how
to do exactly what I wanted. (>20 commands including a few reboots) to move
a complete systemdisk to an lsm mirror.

But now a quite interesting one:
I was quite amazed that my system performed poorly with mirroing. With a
local disk I get RAW read/write rates of about 3-4Mb/s. I have 2 disks
on separate scsi-buses, and I get RAW write rates of 1.5Mb/s and reads
3Mb/s (1.5Mb/s/disk). The CPU is 70-80% idle. Tuning required?
