Bizarre vi behavior using CDE..

Grettings Alphalfas,

OK I'm puzzled. Can anyone shed some light.....

I am vi'ing on a file and using the ctrl-f key to page down through the text,
depending on the file I get the wrong behavior periodically. The latest one,
which prompted this e-mail give me a message:

"No write since last change (:edit! overrides)"

This *is* repeatable, if I ctrl-b back a couple of pages and ctr-f forward
I get the same message at the same place. I've also seen vi go backwards in
the file (like I typed ctrl-b instead of ctrl-f), and gotten the message
telling me I didn't have a tags file.

Oh yeah, when I hit ctrl-f again, after the message appears, the file advances
normally as far as I can tell...

Anyone have a clue why this would happen?

DU 4.0 using CDE.
