nslookup

Dear OSF-managers,
it seems that I have a silly error in my DNS management, as nslookup on a
client complains as follows:

# nslookup
*** Can't find server name for address 147.162.100.180: Server failed
Default Server: ipdunivx.unipd.it
Address: 147.162.1.2
>

The point is that nslookup kindly accepts further server directives:

> server 147.162.100.180
Default Server: giotto.unipd.it
Address: 147.162.100.180

and everything is resolved in the right way.

The involved machines are two Alpha running both DU 3.2 D:
DNS server Alphaserver 400: Digital UNIX V3.2D-1 (Rev. 41)
DNS client Alphastation 3400: DEC OSF/1 V3.2 (Rev. 214)

Both machines run the DEC original DNS software

Thanks in advance,
