Net-boot via FDDI card

Hi. I have a bunch of DEC 3000/300 Alphastations that I want to install
via RIS, which requires booting over the network. Problem is, these
things are on a FDDI (actually CDDI) ring, so their connection to
the network is via an add-in CDDI card rather than the on-board Ethernet.
SHOW DEV at the monitor's >>> prompt shows the Ethernet card as a
bootable device, but not the CDDI card. (I can tell this because
it shows the Ethernet's hardware address rather than the CDDI card's.)

So how do I boot the machine over CDDI, or is it in fact possible?

Thanks,

Jay Sekora
