First sorry for the delay of this summary. However, it seems that I am not
able to send any message through my normal mail account to this list. The
message I send is just "disappear" (Some duplicate Message ID problem?????
Please let me know if anyone heard of this and how to solve this). So I have
to use my private internet account.

Thank you for the following people for their reply (sorry if I miss anyone):

All the people mentioned that the restricted shell under DU3.2C is /bin/Rsh.
I tried this and it works. There is another suggestion that I created a
script called rksh and the contents of the script is
        #!/bin/ksh
        exec /bin/ksh -r
and use this script as the login shell. Unfortunately, I cannot make this to
work. Any further suggestion on this is welcome.

My original message is:

Dear All,

I am running DU3.2c on a 8400/300. I tried to setup a user to login using a
restricted shell. I tried to put in the "/bin/ksh -r" in the passwd file
login shell field, also tried to put "/bin/rksh" in the same place but none
of them work.

However, after I log in using ksh, ksh -r then work as a restricted shell.
Can someone show me how to set the restriction up during the login stage?

Thanks.
