Dear Gurus,

My original question:

> I am running DU 3.2c
> I am now short of Telnet ports (I have only the 32 ports that come by
> default)
> "sysconfig -q pts" answers "nptys = 255" which should be sufficient
> I have the line "options RPTY" in usr/sys/conf/MY_MACHINE

> Hence my question: will it be sufficient to merely "MAKEDEV PTY_1" without
> rebuilding the kernel??
