Greetings to all!
Here's a question that's beginning to seem un-answerable... Back in days of
yore, quotas were enabled on the 2100 that I administer. We don't have
quota checking on now, and don't intend to use quotas in the future. I
noticed that the quota.user, and quota.group information files on our disks
are rather large, so I'd like to delete them. It's not as simple as using
rm, I issue the command and the files are still there and I don't get an
error message.
I'm sure that quotas are turned off, yet I notice that in /etc/fstab that
these filesystems are marked for using quotas. Does that make a
difference??? WHY????
