Connecting 33.600 Modems to Alpha Serial Port under OSF3.2c

I am trying to connect a Multitech 2834BL 33.6Kbps modem to an Alpha
serial port under DU 3.2c .
I would like to know what it is the correct entry for the gettydefs
and also whatis the maximum DTE speed that an Alpha can support ?
