I just installed DU4.0 on my AlphaStation 255 and succeeded in compiling gcc, perl, emacs
and more. But when I tried to compile ssh (versions 1.2.14 and 1.2.16) it fails and the output is
following:

and with GNU-tar 1.11.8 the compilation fails with the following output:

Neither ssh nor GNU-tar has any compilation problems on DU3.2C or DU3.2D.
If anyone can help I am very pleased and I will also summrize the answers
