hi there,

I have a strange problem with elm. Let me first give you little
background. I have a mix of ultrix, dunix, sunos machines. dunix machine is
the nis and nfs server. the mail spool dir is mounted from server to all
other machines. uptil last week I had no problem with reading my mail on any
machine. but now for some unknown reason when I fire up elm, I get the message

Waiting to read mailbox while mail is being received: attempt #0

and it tries 6 times and then quits. I have checked for all the lock files
and found none. the sunos machine is not a nis client to dunix and so when
I start elm on that machine, I can read my mail just fine. (the mail spool
file still comes from the dunix server)

I cannot figure out what or where the problem lies. Can anyone help me?,

Thanks ........
Rakesh
