Any way to kill orphaned processes?

Greetings Managers,
I have a serious problem, I have a user who has unfortunately
written aprogram that tries to remote-login and if it
fails to access the home directory tries back again. So you
guessed it, I have hundreds of "rshd" process under the user
name. But when I try to kill them, it gets orphaned and
taken over by init process (1). So, I am really screwed,
how do I kill these process short of "rebooting" the machine.

I have tried to kill the "inetd" process and restart but no
go, it still is taken over by init.

        Thanks in Advance
        cheers
        mohan
