After 14 days of testing and numerous tel. calls to DEC Support, it turned
out that the version used by our support people came off the Layered
Products CD's, whereas my version came from the so-called 'Associated
Products' CD's, that come with the DU 4.0 release. Apparently the latter
version can only be used together with the necessary PAK's, although the
docs say it contains a SINGLESERVER version as well.
After locating the LP-CD's (which I found in the Software Product Library,
which in turn was packed together with the DECCAMPUS sept. release !!!), I
now succesfully installed the 3.2A version.
Thanks to all people who helped me solve this problem...
