SUMMARY (sorta): netstat: not found

Ok, after several descriptions of how to set my path variable, and hints
that I've asked a silly question for a Senior Sys Admin, I still don't
have an answer for why 'netstat' returns 'not found' when executed
without the full path... I've gone over all the basics and am starting to
think I've got a loopy file-system somewhere as the same thing works on
another system that's a twin of the first. So, in summary:

1. /sbin, /usr/sbin and several other directories are in my path

2. I know 'which' is a csh script that sources the .cshrc file of the user
executing the command (a very important thing to note if you happen to use
'su <user>' prior to using 'which').

3. /sbin, /usr/sbin and several other directories are within the path
that's set in that .cshrc file in any case.

4. executing the command as any user, using appropriate paths gets the
same result although originally I did execute 'su - root' setting root's
user environment which did and still does include /sbin in the path.

So, in a nut-shell, I'm still stumped. Thanks to those who kicked out
ideas about how 'which' functions and the distinction between 'su' with
and without the '-' option .. I have in fact made that mistake in the
past, but not this time unfortunately!

Cheers,

Jason
