Regards managers !
We have a specific problem and wonder whether there are some bright heads
out there who can help us.
The scenario is as follows:
1. We upgraded our NFS server (DEC 3800) to 3.2G. We also installed a
previous OpenVMS machine with 3.2G (DEC 3500).
2. Next we installed ASE130 and necessary hardware on both machines.
3. We configured ASE and the NFS services we needed and everything seemed
OK.
This happened during a weekend, but the following workdays we received
reports that some of the NFS services didn't function as expected. We
received 'Host not responding' and were not able to read/write
files/directories on several clients. The common factor here was NFS3; all
the clients complaining (including Alpha's running 3.2C) were running as
NFS3 clients. All NFS2 clients is apparently running fine (AIX clients).
Are there any well known workarounds/patches etc. besides mounting NFS2 ??
