Hello managers,
i hope to avoid problems with your kind help...
We have several alphas (3000/400 and 2100/M500) running du-3.2c (plus many
patches), one of them being the "server" (bind, nis, nfs, ntp, mail, printerqueues) for all the others.
Now we want to upgrade to du-4.0a (that is we want to make a complete new
installation) and have the question which machine to upgrade first (and why).
The server? All the clients and then reboot them after the server-upgrade?
We did the upgrade already for one client to learn about problems and
differences. But the complete upgrade will need some time and meanwhile
we want to have all machines running (except the one we are upgrading...)
So, if we start with the server: do you know about problems regarding
BIND, NIS, NFS, NTP, AdvFS, Mail, Printing, ... with a 4.0a-server and
3.2c-clients? Or shall we do it vice versa?
Thank you all!
Bernt
