Tape backup

Hi all,

I had a SCSI HP C1533A DDS-2 tape backup device. till two weeks ago, it was
working
fine, all of a sudden now, after rebooting the Alpha box, typeing show
dev shows the device in the list of entires. booting and starting the
machine, trying to talk to rmt0h fails with a message : no such device or
address .
Running OSF/1 3.0.
You help will be appreciated.
