SUMMARY: kernel memory fault (system crash)

Thanks for the replies to my "kernel memory fault" question from

mjs_at_butler.cc.tut.fi and
bol_at_NsrHost.wau.nl

The suggestions I received were to get the ping patch
which could have caused the crash.

It is possible, but I am sure no one pinged the system at
that time.

The other suggestion was an ADVFS problem. However, this
system isn't using ADVFS.

I am going to check if there is a patch available for ping for
the version of OSF we are running which is V2.0.

original question follows....

Thanks,
Allan

Hello,

We had a system crash earlier this morning. Did some poking around
in the archives and was able to get some information together which
I hope would get me some answers as to what has happened.

This system is running OSF/1 V2.0 and no we can't upgrade :-)
The binary.errlog file shows me this....
