Dear Specialists,
I am a novice in the mailing list, and bring thousand of apologies
if the subject is out of the list profile.
We have about ten of VXT 2000 connected to DEC AXP 4710 with Digital
Unix and our VXT software is of version 2.1.
The problem is to return back to running VXT software with
normally appearing at the session start VXT Terminal Manager window
after it was made hidden from the Customize Terminal Manager dialog
box.
The "User Information" guide contains the following text:
"CAUTION! If you change the Terminal Manager window's startup state
ti Hidden and reboot the terminal, you cannot display the Terminal
Manager window to change the setting back to normal. You must see
your VXT manager to change the setting."
This causes several questions:
1. What happes when I reboot the terminal while 'Hidden startup state'
setting? Whether somewhat fires down in the terminal of in the host?
Whether it is a 'Mortal Sentense'?
2. Where does vxt.sys find its startup settings? It seems like noone
file in the $home directory can play this role. But I don't believe
that pressing a putton in Customise window is the only way to change
the setting!
3. Can anyone direct me to another Internet sources more suitable
to the sunbect?
Thanking in advence for any replies,
Eugene V. Proon, team manager, "GVC Energuetiki" JSC,
the Computing Center of the Fuel & Electric Power Ministry of Russia.
