My original question:
I would like to make an Alpha Station 200 4/166 Dual boot
DU 3.2C/WinNT. What do I have to do to make this work ?
Firmware 5.0
Answer:
>>>set os_type nt
and power-cycle
Actualy this was a case of RTFM but according to the answers I got not
so obvious. DEC people told me to load ARCBOOT.EXE from the firmware
CD 3.7. Other people also referred to upgrading the firmware so I guess
there must be AS200's around that do not support ARC and SRM firmware
at the same time.
The actual process of installing NT from CD on the 2nd harddrive went
flawlessly, NT recognized all Digital hardware (fruits of MS/DEC
coorporation ?) Dual boot is as easy as stepping through a boot menu
and power-cycling.
