nsr parrallel sessions problem

Question:
        I have DEC nsr 3.2 with one client backing up all of
        my local and remote drives. The remote drives I have
        nfs-mounted to the server. When I do a full backup
        it starts with 4 to 6 parrallel sessions at 1-2 MB/sec
        Next morning it invariably has reduced to only one session
        at some 200KB/sec and several waiting, all of which are these

        nfs-mounted remote drives. Anybody know why this happens ?
        And is there a solution ?
