Hi,
As some of you might already know :-) I recently got a new Aspen Alpine
Alpha motherboard on which I run Digital Unix 4.0a. As this machine
replaced a DEC 3000/600 which had 2 separate SCSI busses and my only
bus on the new system is almost full (only one free ID) with already
pretty long cabling and assorted problems, I want to install a 2nd
SCSI controller.
Question: As the on-board SCSI controller is an NCR (alias Symbios) 810,
can I just buy one of these $80 NCR 810 PCI controllers without BIOS ??
Is this controller supported by both, the motherboard and DU 4.0a?
Thanks -- Tom
