Dear group,
this week I received my GEAR-for-Unix software and a Philips CDD2600
recorder. Looking in the GEAR-documentation I saw that this recorder
couldn't be used on Alpha DU. Indeed, when I booted the system
everything looked well, the recorder was seen, but mounting it was not
possible. The reason is unclear to me. My dealer didn't know but
proposed to return the Philips and make a new try with an Yamaha CDR100.
Before I loose much of my time by testing I like to ask this group:
Are there any good/bad experiences with CD-Recorders attached to an
Alpha with Digital Unix??
