Hi

There were very few replies to this query (original below), and
consequently it turned out to be a hardware problem. The new firmware
seams to have exercised new and faulty parts of the mother board.
After installing a new mother board the new firmware and DU 4.0A
appear to be working fine.

original query:
> we have just installed (i.e. complete install, not upgrade) a DEC
> 255/233 with DU4.0A, and firmware updated to 3.7. The system now
> crashes regularly particularly with lots of disk activity (i.e. rdist,
> backups etc., so usually more than three times a day). DEC support
> suggest moving down to firmware 3.6, but are not sure if this will
> work. Has anyone experienced such problems, and/or could suggest
> possible solutions?
