Hello all,
Our setup:-
1000A Server 2 x KZPSA 3 channel raid controllers
DU 3.2g
Controller 1
21 x RZ29VW configured as three raid 5 sets split into 8 logical drives
Controller 2
4 x 5.25" 9Gbyte disks configured as 1 raid 5 set slit into 3 logical drives.
A number of the logical drives are further partitioned.
All filesystems are UFS.
I am going through our emergency recovery procedures and found that I
don't have a record of the disk partitioning information, so I tried
to do a disklabel -r on each logical drive.
To my concern on 7 out of 11 logical drives
disklabel -r /dev/rreXc
gives:-
Disk is unlabeled or, /dev/rre0c does not start at block 0 of the disk
I have also tried using the 'a' partition without any success.
All disks are in use and running happily - I can get enough info to
repartition the disks if needed from the output of df.
Any ideas on how to get disklabels back onto these disks without
having to restore all data - or should I just carry on without
disklabels - or have I just done something silly?
Only yesterday I did a newfs on /dev/rre1c (one of the partitions that
I cannot read the disklabel) without problems.
Here is the output from df -k -t ufs on this machine.

Can anyone put my mind at rest that we are not about to have a
catastrophic failure?
Thanks for any advice.
Tim.
